Background
Berend:
"I am studying HBO Law at the dual study programme of The Hague University of Applied Sciences. This study includes an internship of 1.5 years. This is a very extensive internship intended to gain work experience. After a few pleasant conversations, I was given the opportunity to work at DayOne advocaten, which is a great opportunity. What appeals to me at DayOne is the way in which they think along with their clients. As a lawyer you can think something about everything, but this does not always help the client. At DayOne we look at what the client really needs and act accordingly. Of course within the legal (im)possibilities".
Berend has a broad, practical basis through his education. Civil law and in particular corporate law are of special interest to him. During his studies, he also did a minor in Business Law and a minor in Privacy & Intellectual Property. During his internship, he expects to expand the knowledge he has gained but also to apply it in practice. He will support all lawyers in their current cases. His teaching experience will also be useful.
Berend will work at DayOne as from February 2022.
